Di and William have been going to a local mom's group at church....it has been nice to get out and visit with other fun ladies and to hear some of their stories....William even went to the nursery for the first time while I was at our "party meeting". Of course he did great....and I really didn't worry too much about him...YEAH!
Orie has been busy....you can fill in the blank....yes working....we are so glad he loves his job but we are also ready for his stress level to go down....I'm so grateful that he works so hard for me and William and I am also so grateful that William has a smile for him at the end of each hard day...I'm pretty sure it doesn't get any better than that!
We have had a few parties...I went to a Dirty Santa gift exchange party with some old friends and new friends...it was super fun and I was out way past my bedtime...oh well....you only live once!
Orie and I celebrated another friend's 35th birthday....it was so fun to be included in her celebration....it was at a local wine bar and we had so much fun getting dolled up and enjoying a night out! The V family came over for it and we all had a really fun evening....Orie had to head in early to relieve our babysitter and Di and the V family did not get home until 2 am.....if you know the V family you probably think I am making this up....! I have proof though....midnight tamales, early morning karaoke and the remnants of party mix after some late night snacking! It was such a fun celebration....happy early to the birthday girl...thanks for letting us share in your fun night!
William not only had his first trip to the church nursery but also his first babysitter. I really wasn't too nervous about this either....I called a friend of mine to see if her daughter would be interested....the daughter is a senior in high school and is the oldest of six brothers....I trusted her completely and was so excited when she said yes....William was in great hands....I even got a party pic of the two of them halfway through the night from her mom....you know it's love when your babysitter sends sweet pics to her mom!
We also celebrated August's Christening in Shreveport...it was absolutely perfect. She was SO well behaved (I think it was from the extra coaching from her Aunt Di)! We enjoyed her beautiful service as well as a lovely lunch at Kat and Josh's....the perfect day! We can only hope William does as well on his big day:)
I am sure there is lots more to tell but I can't ever seem to come up with it when I finally sit down to blog....so this will have to do!
