May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your face, may the rain fall soft upon your face. And until we meet again, until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Super Bowl Recipe

Just thought I would pass along a recipe that we are making for Super Bowl Sunday! It was passed along from Meredith Price (Price and Company link) and it is delicious!

Hope you all enjoy your weekend and watching the game. Happy Football!

2 1/2c. cooked chicken, pulled (I usually use 3 breasts)
8oz. Franks Hot Sauce (make sure to use Franks...key ingredient)
2 8oz. cream cheese
8oz. blue cheese dressing (i use kraft)
8oz. grated cheddar cheese
chopped celery

Mix all of the above except the celery. Cook at 350 degrees until hot (about 30 minutes). Add celery for last 5 minutes. Serve with Fritos (the big ones).

brrr it's getting cold again

Well we are bundled up and hoping for a snow day tomorrow. We are expecting several inches of snow through the night and then a wintry mix of stuff tomorrow morning. I am hoping this develops into a spectacular snow day with no school! Otherwise it should make for some lovely traveling conditions to work!

We have had an interesting couple of days. Orie had food poisoning on Sunday night and all day Monday from either squash, zucchini or mushrooms. It was scary. He had a high fever for the whole night and most of the morning. He had the shakes and his body was very weak. After leaving for work (me) hoping that he was going to make it...I missed my bus and had to wait for another one. I took this as a sign that I needed to head back home and take care of him. I stopped by the store and picked up every drink that would boost his immune system and then headed home. I was in charge of dog duty that day and being a good nurse. I hope I passed the test.

We hope you are all doing well and enjoying your week. Keep us updated on your lives...we're always interested!

weekend of nothing!

I wish we had more exciting things to post but we are enjoying a weekend of nothing. We had a fabulous trip last weekend to Shreveport where we celebrated my mom's 60th birthday with a SURPRISE party. She was in fact surprised and the party was absolutely perfect thanks to some great planning and creativity from Jennifer and Dad. Well done...it was a great way to celebrate. I wish we could have been home for a longer stay.

I believe tomorrow we are going to The Museum of Natural History to enjoy the day. We were going to go today but ended up staying in the whole day DOING NOTHING!!! It was great!

Hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend and looking forward to Sunday Fun Day tomorrow. Love and hugs to all out there!

cold...cold....cold...

Wow - I am not sure we have any other words right now other than it is FREEZING OUT THERE! Our walks to the bus, subway, and school are becoming a little more challenging now that the wind is really picking up and the temperature is really going down! We are in for a very cold forecast. Be thinking of us as you are bundled up by your fire or even better...living in your nice warm city.

Have a great rest of the week!

I'm now adding our weather link...brrr!

we love the snow!

Enjoy some pics and a video of our snow time in the park. We took Grace last night and the snow was beautiful. It was still falling and it was so soft and powder like. Today we went out and it was starting to turn to slosh - not much fun. We almost fell on the ice getting there several times! Hope everyone has a happy Sunday! Go Eagles!!!

Some fun photos!

Check out Grace eating the snow!

we weren't joking...let it snow let it snow let it snow

It is coming down thick and fast - what a fun day in the city. We ran our errands early when it wasn't as bad and now are bundled up inside watching it fall. Later we will brave the snow and take Grace on a short walk. Sorry Grace but it's mighty cold outside today for our regular walk in the park. Right now our thermometer on our balcony (no windchill really) says it's 28!!! Tomorrow should be fun!

snowflakes snowflakes everywhere!

It has already started to snow today in NYC. They are calling for 3-7 inches and it wasn't supposed to come until late this evening. Grace and I were out and about at about 9:30 and it was already coming down. It isn't a thick snow yet but we'll see what the rest of the day and tomorrow brings. Hopefully we will be in the park tomorrow taking some snow day pictures.

Have a happy Saturday!
