White Rock Lake

Saturday was a fabulous day! We woke up and headed to White Rock Lake with Grace on a fabulous adventure.

It was one of Grace's first car trips in D town and she bounced up and down on the floor (much like Sedona) when we told her we were going out....she totally knows the difference between a walk and an adventure!

We got to ride in my SUV which is always fun since we usually take Orie's car everywhere. I shouldn't be all that flattered because we took it since we had the dog and might get dirty!!! We drove over to White Rock Lake and headed on our adventure. It was so much fun. I wasn't in to walking over the bridge (it swayed every time a runner came by). I felt like I was dizzy and my legs were going to fall over....it was really just the bridge moving....ha! We went through trails, down by the water, up a hill and all over. Grace had a blast and really enjoyed marking her spots all over this beautiful lake. Enjoy some pics!



After our adventure we headed to a local joint for lunch...check this out...Keller's.....It was so yummy! The link has a photo of their other location. Here is the one we dined at....or should I say....we pulled up in our car and dined much like this...

Here is the actual restaurant....our view from our car. Those signs outside display the brief menu of burgers (any way you want), fries, onion rings, drinks, shakes and beer. In case you are wondering.....lots of people in Dallas "drive thru" Keller's for a beer....some add a burger with it.

Wondering how you get your waitress?
That's right....just turn your blinkers on and this sweet "hun" comes over to your car and says "what'll it be"! I felt like I was in a movie. We did burgers, fries and soda....total for a car of 2 people....$12! I highly recommend it if you are heading through Dallas on Northwest Highway....especially if you are in a super cool car or on a motorcycle....total hangout for those folks!
