Then we headed down to Little Italy to meet up with one of Nate's friends. We strolled around a bit and then stopped for some wine at a street cafe. Lots of great people watching!
That evening Orie and I met them and and a group of 9 for diner at Pastis. The atmosphere was very Parisian and we enjoyed each moment. After dinner we headed out in the Meat Packing district. Orie and I quickly learned that we aren't quite up to par with the social scene in NYC. I thought we were cool but I think we missed the mark at some of these places. We still had a good time chatting and having some cocktails with friends. I am so sad we headed home before the red velvet rope incident. I would have loved to have a bouncer tell me he could get me in for $500...are you kidding?
We met them on Sunday for brunch at Tavern on the Green. It was, as always, beautiful. This time we sat outside on the patio and it is by far my favorite dining area. The weather was gorgeous and we enjoyed spending some time with just Rachel and Nate getting to catch up.
It's so fun when people come to town. Please come visit us...any time....and please let us have you over for wine and cheese in our home! Who's ready?
