May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your face, may the rain fall soft upon your face. And until we meet again, until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Okay....so Orie hates when he is bombarded with consecutive blog posts....oh well.....once you get going you just gotta keep going....except I am running low on fuel so this might be more pics and less chatter....

I have said this a million times to myself in my lifetime but I am truly so blessed....we have an amazing life.....nothing too serious to worry about....and are able to share our life with so many special friends and family.....it's unbelievable to step back and see these blessings.

As we await the arrival of sweet William we are experiencing a million of these blessings again.......everyone around us is so excited about this baby boy and our future family.....I love seeing this and can't believe this child already has so many friends and he is not even here yet! Happenings.....

We have had so many fun happenings lately.....

We went to ..... oh dear.... the name is escaping me....but it was a really cute venue/wine bar...for a shower for our other sweet friends Stephanie and Scott. They are marrying this July and it was a great evening for a celebration. We visited with lots of Dallas friends and had a really good time. I would say I give myself a 10 for my "hang time" abilities lately! I don't like to miss anything so I end up being tired the next day...but oh well!

We have had some excellent pool time in Shreveport with those sweet nephews of ours....they really are the cutest things ever....We love getting to hang with them when we pop over to Shreveport for this that and the other!

We have also celebrated a sweet little boy turning the big One Year Old! CWT had an adorable milk and cookies party and after a morning of threatening weather the day turned out to be perfect! He just had the sweetest grin on his face the whole time....like he almost knew we were there to celebrate him! If you need a party theme....I can put you in touch with this creative mommy because it was so cute and all the kids loved it!

We have done lots of sweet things for William lately.....mom and I made his cornice boards....or more like mom made...I assisted.....we have brought back his cradle....a travel swing....lots of clothes and gear from his sweet Aunt Jen and those precious boy cousins....I mean this child needs nothing! I have to remind myself of that whenever I see something adorable:)

We have even soaked up some Di and Orie time too.....a dinner date for lobster (a craving which once satisfied has not resurfaced.....)....movie nights....a Top Golf afternoon....around the house projects....some sun bathing....and lots of giggles over this sweet boy that will join us in August!

What are your latest happenings?

Wedding Shower....

No pics from this event but it is worth mentioning because I think my husband had more fun than the bride and groom.....

We headed to Shreveport for our sweet friends' wedding shower. Michael and Sarah are getting married this June and we loved celebrating them and showering them with gifts over this weekend. Orie just kept saying he was so excited to see all his boys! Ha....they really are like small children when they get together! They joked and laughed all night long with each other....I'm not sure they even noticed there were others outside of "their bubble" at the party!

The fish fry shower was really fun and it couldn't have been a more beautiful evening. They opened lots of fabulous presents....I kept remembering how exciting it was to get all new stuff and to think about how you will use it in your new home! After the shower....we didn't leave until almost 11:00....these boys do love to get together....we headed out to socialize some more! We had a fireside chat with lots of friends and the boys definitely enjoyed a few more cocktails....I love catching up with everyone and it was just the perfect night.....

Thanks for another excuse to get together Michael and Sarah....we loved it and we are so happy for you both! See you in a few weeks!!!!

Audrey's Wedding Weekend

Gosh....I am really behind on my blogging....

Audrey's wedding feels like forever ago and really just a month ago....

We headed to Shreveport for the big event and had a wonderful weekend. All of their hard work over the last year finally paid off....they could sit back and relax and enjoy the moment!

Friday night we had a great rehearsal at Brown Chapel and then a delicious dinner at The Elks Club....complete with crawfish! yum yum! Orie and I hung with the crowd until about 10:30 ish at the Steakhouse and then we called it a night.

Saturday was busy busy....we had a beautiful bridesmaid's luncheon that morning and then it was off to do a few wedding jobs and then rest up and get ready for pictures at the church!

I think the wedding was everything Audrey and Chris could have asked for....they had a beautiful song by a dear friend that was such a nice touch....the minister was even a family friend....how special! After they tied the knot we headed to East Ridge for dinner and dancing....what fun! Don't worry....this prego tried both cakes and they were both excellent.....never be afraid to try both! It's really just polite!

I think Debbie and Grandma were thrilled to wake up on Sunday without something else to plan....they did such a great job! Audrey and Chris woke up married and ready to head to St. Lucia.....Orie and I just woke up a little tired and having to drive back to Dallas....boo!

Enjoy some pics from the weekend....

Around the house....

Orie has been quite the busy bee around the house lately.....he is really taking on a lot of jobs in addition to his main job (my sweet husband) and his other job (a computer forensics dude)!

Remember that pesky treadmill we had to take apart to get out of the office/William's room and into our bedroom? Well, mission accomplished! He did such a great job and it felt amazing to finally have William's room ready (well....an open canvas to be ready)! Check out the treadmill in our room now....not as bad as I expected.....our new spaces are really coming together!

While I was in Florida....uh hum....for business of course.....Orie was the busiest ever.....apparently he gets really bored without me!!!! He trimmed our bushes in the front yard and back yard.....fixed a pesky toilet seat.....tidied up our house....did his laundry....I mean for real! I am going to go out of town more often!

Check out the bushes....

He did an amazing job....those bushes were really high!

This past weekend he was on the job again.....he re wired our cable so that we could get the router and modem out of William's room....I didn't really love the idea of the equipment being kept in there (even though you wouldn't be able to see it).....something about the signals being put off directly underneath where our child will sleep each night just didn't sit well! I didn't even know he knew what he was doing.....but in the end it was perfect.....cable re wired from the attic to outside to through the wall of the office.....to now from the attic....through the closet...through the wall to our bedroom....I woke up from a nap to perfection! Orie knows I like things pretty or where I just can't see them....he accomplished both with this task! Thanks Orie for fixing our house when it needs fixing! You're the best handy man ever!

Lunch Dates

So this non working prego girl loves a good lunch date!

I have had several over the last few months with great friends!

My usual victim....LT....is now employed so I am not sure we will have lunch dates anymore....our last one was fantastic though. We headed over to Einstein Bros. Bagels and had a nice bagel sandwich and great chit chat! She has now started her new job and I am so excited for her new endeavor....she is great at everything so I know this will be successful for sure! I guess I will have to be happy for her instead of sulking over my long lost lunch date!

I also had a great lunch date with my prego friend Katie....we chose La Madeleine (at the last minute of course because you never know what a pregnant girl is going to want to eat!) We had a great lunch and lots of "mommy" talk. She is due about 8 weeks before me so hopefully she will have lots of tips to share when William arrives!

The last lunch date I had was with my sweet husband.....surprisingly we do not have lunch together very often....so this was a real treat. He took me to a random Cajun restaurant and we had a great lunch and I loved getting to see him and visit during the middle of the day...I guess it was extra special because we don't get to very often!

So thank you lunch date friends.....you made my day!

Dallas for Spring Break....

I love it when friends and family come to visit! This year I had two friends pop over for the day on their spring break......it was so fun!

Patti R. and Amy M. came over to do a little home shopping and I got to tag along for the day. It was so fun and I learned some great new things about Dallas.

We started off the day at my house....they both got to see it for the first time and I just love having people stop by....it's fun to get to show off your house too! They even brought a sweet package for William....have I mentioned that he is spoiled rotten already and isn't even here?

After that we headed out to a furniture store that was new to me....Nadeau's....it was amazing. A huge warehouse full of "my kind of furniture".....this means unique, looks like it might have a story, not a million dollars and not like everyone else's! I wish I had a new house to buy for! Amy was very successful here and really found almost everything she came to Dallas for in one stop.....very successful!

After that we popped over to the Crate and Barrel outlet and then on to Gutmann's Furnishings where I think I may have found a swivel glider for William's room. So many great stores that I have never been to or even heard of....I have really been missing out!

It was then time for these girls to eat so we popped over to Central Market cafe and enjoyed a great lunch and lots of chatting time. It was the perfect way to spend the day for sure! Thanks Patti and Amy for heading over on your Spring Break....I loved it....you can come back any time!
