I love my organized pantry, I love seasonal throw pillows, I love the idea of breakfast looking like an ice cream cone, I love following my friends on Pinterest - seeing their adorable creations...I love dreaming up the next thematic birthday party and all the fun decorations I could create....I love it all....and this doesn't make me a bad person or even worse a bad mom....
I also love making my dining room table into a fort for William, letting him play finger foods with avocado where he no doubt ruined his clothes and made the biggest mess ever, I love making up songs with him that have absolutely no meaning and barely a melody....I love teaching him how to beat his hands on top of Tupperware in hopes that he will be the next drummer for someone wildly famous like Coldplay or the next Beatles! I think I can have it both ways.....
I am moving past this article....I know I am a good mom, I know I spend amazing quality time with my child and I will continue to long for the days when I can make sandwiches look like fish and a pirate ship out of cupcakes.....and I will do it more efficiently because my pantry is organized:)
