What a fantastic weekend we had! No pictures to document it yet but hopefully some from our Saturday adventure will find their way to the blog soon.
Friday night, Audrey came to Dallas for an overnight visit. She had a wedding weekend and decided to pop by for some Friday night fun. We loved having our first official family visitor. We went to dinner at one of the few places we know in Dallas, The Porch, and it was fantastic. As we made our way to the bar to wait with a cocktail we saw my sister and some of her friends waiting for a table also...such a small world. We waited together over some hummus and cocktails. The wait was worth it. Once we sat down our meal was delicious...Brisket Enchiladas, Gourmet Cheeseburger and Fish-n-Chips. We were STUFFED to say the least but had a very nice evening.
Saturday we woke up and headed out to play some Top Golf. The weather was gorgeous and we enjoyed every moment. Top Golf is super fun and I highly recommend it if you are ever near this sort of entertainment arena. I was TERRIBLE and still had a blast!
Saturday evening we had an LSU Tiger celebration. Some of my high school friends stopped by for some good food, spirits, and an AWESOME football game...GEAUX TIGERS! I was so thankful for a Tiger win...nothing like a loss to kill the buzz of a party. So glad everyone could make it and had a good time. We will have to do it again soon.
Needless to say, after such a great Friday and Saturday we took it easy on Sunday. We hung around the house and watched the Saints play....and pull off a win in the end....against the Dolphins...that was a tough one to watch. Hopefully next week won't be as agonizing!
Today is a dreary day in Dallas...full of rain and cold setting in. I'm glad it's an indoor day of laundry and cleaning house!
Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. We enjoyed ours and having one of our first adventures in Dallas at Top Golf! Hopefully there will be lots more to come!
