New York City Marathon

No, we did not participate in the marathon but we did watch some of the runners go by. It was a little early in the race so the streets in the photos aren't nearly as full as they get further into the day. It runs right down 1st avenue on the UES, which is where we live, and was very exciting. It interfered with my shopping plans today (I couldn't cross the street to go up to the subway) but I made do by taking the downtown bus to 57th street and hopped on the subway there. The police told me that if I wanted to cross the street I would have to go down to 58th street or up to 1oo and something. NO THANKS on foot so I hopped on the bus!

After checking out the marathon we strolled over to the park where Grace had a little squirrel hunt. All in all a good day! Enjoy some pics
